ChildFund Deutschland

ChildFund Deutschland e. V. is a child protection organisation from Nürtingen, Germany. It has worked worldwide since 1978 to improve the future prospects of children in need, their families and their wider environment, following the principle of help for self-help. It supports development cooperation projects in over 30 countries, mainly in the areas of education, food security, livelihood promotion and child protection, and also provides humanitarian aid in crises. The organisation is registered in the register of associations of the Stuttgart local court and recognised as charitable. Besides its office in Nürtingen, it has a location in Berlin and a country office in Lviv, Ukraine. It is a member of the ChildFund Alliance, an international network of eleven child protection organisations, and of VENRO. Since 1995 it has continuously been awarded the donation seal of the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI).

In addition to its office in Nürtingen, it has a location in Berlin and a country office in Lviv, Ukraine. The association's members are its owners; the highest body is the members' assembly, which elects the voluntary supervisory board, which in turn appoints and monitors the executive board. The executive board works full-time and has operational leadership. ChildFund Deutschland is a member of the ChildFund Alliance, an international network of eleven child protection organisations, and of VENRO. Since 1995 it has continuously been awarded the donation seal of the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI). It is also a member of the Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft. Its project work is financed by private donations and institutional funds, including public funds from the Federal Foreign Office (AA) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
