CHIEMGAU WELLE e.V.

CHIEMGAU WELLE e.V. is a registered association founded in January 2018 with the purpose of building a standing wave in Traunstein. In October 2018 the Traunstein city council unanimously supported the CHIEMGAU WELLE project. In December 2020 the association submitted extensive planning documents for the CHIEMGAU WELLE to the authorities, and on 15 September 2021 it announced that it had received approval to build the CHIEMGAU WELLE. The project is aimed at the river surfing scene in the Chiemgau region and is presented as a new, attractive form of water sports for the region.

The association CHIEMGAU WELLE e.V. was founded in January 2018 for the purpose of building a standing wave in Traunstein. In December 2020, after about two years of work, the association handed over extensive planning documents for the CHIEMGAU WELLE to the authorities. On 15 September 2021 the association announced that it had received approval to build the CHIEMGAU WELLE.
