Chengdu Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd. is a biological products (vaccine) research and manufacturing enterprise founded in 1958 and located in Jinjiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of China National Biotec Group, which belongs to the Sinopharm group managed by SASAC of the State Council, and is a national high-tech enterprise. The company states it holds 25 products with production approval numbers, spanning vaccines, therapeutic biological products and in-vivo diagnostic reagents, and that its products are exported to 14 countries. It describes itself as China's first vaccine manufacturer to obtain WHO prequalification and to be procured by UNICEF.

The company was founded in 1958 and is located in Jinjiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan, covering an area of 364,000 square meters. It describes itself as one of the six biological products institutes formerly directly under the Ministry of Health, and as an important national biopharmaceutical (vaccine) R&D and manufacturing base. It states it is China's first vaccine manufacturer to obtain WHO prequalification and the first Chinese vaccine manufacturer procured by UNICEF, and a national high-tech enterprise. Since its founding it has worked on medical microbiology, immunology and genetic engineering, developing and producing preventive and therapeutic biological products, diagnostic products and recombinant drugs, and supplying vaccines for the national Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI). In recent years, under a strategy of "technological innovation and international operations," it restructured its quality management system according to international standards and obtained ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 certifications, and has undertaken or participated in national 863 projects, national high-tech industrialization demonstration projects, national science and technology support programmes, national major infectious disease projects and national major new drug creation projects.
