Overview

Château Sainte Marguerite is a Provence wine estate whose property has held the Cru Classé des Côtes-de-Provence title since 1955. Brigitte and Jean-Pierre Fayard acquired seven hectares of vines, and the family has since expanded the vineyard to more than 450 hectares across the Côtes-de-Provence AOC, producing rosé, white and red wines.

History

The property has held the Cru Classé des Côtes-de-Provence title since 1955, a distinction held by only 18 estates today. Nearly half a century ago, Brigitte and Jean-Pierre Fayard acquired seven hectares of vines. From the seven hectares purchased in 1977, the Château Sainte Marguerite vineyard has grown considerably, reaching more than 450 hectares spread over 25 kilometres in the Côtes-de-Provence AOC, supplying all the grapes needed for the estate's wines.
