Centro Universitário Plínio Leite

The Centro Universitário Plínio Leite (UNIPLI) is a private higher education institution located in the city of Niterói, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was founded on 5 January 1999 as the successor to the Faculdades Integradas Plínio Leite. The institution grew out of the Colégio Plínio Leite, a traditional basic education school founded by the educator Plínio Leite, whose adjacent facilities are located on Avenida Visconde do Rio Branco in the centre of Niterói. UNIPLI offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across various fields, continuing the educational legacy of its founder. In 2010, it was acquired by Anhanguera Educacional for R$ 56.9 million, becoming part of one of Brazil's largest private education groups. The institution operates under the Anhanguera umbrella while maintaining its original name and campus in Niterói.

In 2010, it was acquired by Anhanguera Educacional for R$ 56.9 million, integrating it into one of Brazil's largest private education networks. Under Anhanguera, UNIPLI has maintained its name and campus, offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
