In April 2025 it changed its name to CE Media House, adopting the abbreviation of its parent. The company's core business is magazine and book publishing, complemented by digital media and a content studio. History

CE Media House traces its origins to the publishing assets of Hankyu Communications, a Japanese publisher that had built a portfolio including Newsweek Japan, FIGARO japon and Pen. In October 2014, through a company split (company division) of Hankyu Communications, a new company named CCC Media House was established to inherit those magazine and book contents. On the same date, CCC Media House became a subsidiary of Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (CCC). In December 2014, through another company split of Culture Convenience Club, the company became a subsidiary of Culture Entertainment Co., Ltd. Under the CCC group, the company continued to publish its flagship magazines: Pen, a monthly lifestyle and culture magazine launched in 1997; FIGARO japon, the Japanese edition of Madame Figaro launched in 1990; and Newsweek Japan, the Japanese-language edition of Newsweek launched in 1986. It also maintained a book division known for long-selling business titles such as 'A Technique for Producing Ideas' (アイデアのつくり方), 'The 80/20 Principle' (80対20の法則) and 'What I Wish I Knew When I Was 20' (20歳のときに知っておきたかったこと), and published the opinion journal 'Asteion' (アステイオン), which has continued since 1986 with support from the Suntory Foundation. The 'Pen BOOKS' series, which turns popular Pen features into books, became a well-received collection. The company expanded into digital media, operating Pen Online, Pen Online International, madame FIGARO.jp, Newsweek Japan digital and WEB Otona no Nagoya. In November 2022, it launched 'Pen Meet', a community for learning and encounters aimed at creative-minded people. It also offers a content studio providing creative services to clients. In April 2025, the company changed its name from CCC Media House to CE Media House, adopting the abbreviation of its parent company, Culture Entertainment. As of that time, it remained a consolidated subsidiary of Culture Entertainment within the CCC group.
