Overview
Catalina is a marketing company that, for more than 40 years, has influenced shopper behavior by delivering personalized ads at the right moment. It helps CPG brands, retailers, and agencies optimize planning, execution, and measurement, using real-time intelligence and shopper data to personalize CPG marketing at scale.
History
Catalina was founded in 1983, when its founders conceived an efficient electronic alternative to mass-reach coupons on a boat trip to Catalina Island: using grocery store scanners to distribute targeted coupons. This solution, the Checkout Coupon, drove lift and loyalty for CPG retailers and brands. Catalina grew and expanded internationally throughout the 1990s and 2000s. In 2011, it introduced a mobile commerce solution for personalized offers, and later unveiled Catalina Buyervision to measure the impact of digital advertising on in-store sales. Today, Catalina describes itself as an industry-leading partner to CPG brands and retailers.
