Carson Air

Carson Air Ltd. is a Canadian aviation company founded in 1990. It is the primary provider of fixed wing air ambulance services in British Columbia, operating out of bases in Kelowna (head office), Vancouver, Prince George, and Fort St John, and providing medevac services on behalf of British Columbia Emergency Health Services (BCEHS). From a base at the Calgary International Airport it also provides air cargo services for FedEx to cities across British Columbia and Alberta, and it operates a flight training school in Kelowna, including programs offered through a partnership with Okanagan College. In 2021 Exchange Income Corporation announced the acquisition of Carson Air Ltd.

Carson Air was founded in 1990. It became the primary provider of fixed wing air ambulance services in British Columbia, operating out of bases in Kelowna (head office), Vancouver, Prince George, and Fort St John, and providing medevac services on behalf of British Columbia Emergency Health Services (BCEHS). From a base at the Calgary International Airport it provides cargo service to several Western Canadian cities daily under dedicated cargo contracts, partnering with FedEx, and it operates a flight training school in Kelowna, including programs through a partnership with Okanagan College. On July 25, 2021, Exchange Income Corporation announced the acquisition of Carson Air Ltd., described as the largest provider of fixed wing air ambulance services in B.C. On October 11, 2023, Carson Air announced it had been awarded a 10+ year medevac contract.

  Heavy maintenance performed on the cargo fleet at the Kelowna base; the bariatric-capable Beech 1900D was engineered and modified by Carson Air's maintenance crew.
