Carrière Frères

Carrière Frères is a French home-fragrance brand whose history dates to 1884, when the Carrière brothers bought the Royal Wax Manufacture, known today as Trudon, and created Carrière Frères. The brand was awarded a gold medal at the Exposition Universelle of 1889. Its range includes scented candles, diffusers, solid soaps, botanical palets, scented taper candles, refills and accessories. Candles are made of 100% vegetable wax from European rapeseed, and the brand also offers corporate gifts and services for hotels and restaurants.

The story of Carrière Frères follows that of the Royal Wax Manufacture, known today as Trudon. In 1884, the Carrière brothers decided to buy the manufacture, intending to modernize it while respecting the century-old heritage of master candle makers established in the 17th and 18th centuries. They created Carrière Frères in 1884. The brothers extended the religious use of candles to decorative objects, introducing a new generation of pillar and taper candles for diner tables and festive evenings. As early as 1889, they were awarded a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition for their vision and craft. Manufactured in the Trudon factory, the CF line has since been at the crossroads of respecting ancient savoir-faire, embracing modernity and building a legacy.
