The group was built around the takeover of distressed businesses, successfully turned around, notably in the following sectors: pharmacy, industrial bodywork, mechanics and IT. From 2007, investments in distressed businesses were made by Arcole Industries, in which Caravelle held a minority stake until 2014. From 2012 to 2017, under the leadership of Hélène Martel-Massignac (†2018), the group continued its investment strategy in healthy companies and developed in industry, services, as well as tourism and hotels. Since 2017, Caravelle has been led by Lorène Martel, previously a Director since 2011.
