Business Inform

Business Inform (Ukrainian: Бізнес Інформ) is an international peer-reviewed scientific economic journal published in Kharkiv, Ukraine, since 1992. It is one of the oldest and most authoritative Ukrainian scientific periodicals in the economic field. The journal publishes original research results in economic sciences, with a scope covering the full JEL classification from A to Z. Its stated languages of publication are Ukrainian and English, and it is issued monthly, producing twelve issues per year. The journal is an open-access publication distributed under a Creative Commons CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, meaning all content is freely available. Each article is assigned a DOI with the prefix 10.32983/2222-4459. The print version carries ISSN 2222-4459 and the online version ISSN 2311-116X. Business Inform is recognised by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as a professional publication (Category "B", Order No. 1643 of 28.12.2019) in which the main results of dissertations in economics may be published, covering specialties 051 Economics, 072 Finance, Banking, Insurance and the Stock Market, 073 Management, 281 Public Administration and Administration, and 292 International Economic Relations. The journal was first registered in 1992. From 1992 to 2002 its editor-in-chief and publishing director was O. H. Rystenko. In 2002 the Kharkiv National University of Economics (KhNEU) became a founder, and its rector, Professor V. S. Ponomarenko, became editor-in-chief, with Professor M. O. Kyzym as scientific editor. In 2010 the Research Centre for Industrial Problems of Development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NDC IPR NAN Ukrainy) joined as a co-founder. Since 2003 the publisher has been Publishing House INZHEK. The journal's editorial office is located at Prov. Inzhenernyi 1a, Library Building of KhNEU, 2nd floor, room 203, Kharkiv 61001, Ukraine. Business Inform is indexed in international scientometric databases, repositories and search systems. Its thematic sections span accounting and auditing; economics of construction, enterprise, labour and social policy, nature management, industry, agriculture and agro-industrial complex, trade and services, transport and communications; economic-mathematical modelling; economic history and theory; investment and innovation processes; information technologies in economics; management and marketing; mechanisms of economic regulation; international economic relations; problems of entrepreneurship; regional economics; statistics; and finance, money circulation and credit. The journal also publishes materials from scientific conferences.

Business Inform was first registered in 1992 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and has been published there continuously since then. From 1992 to 2002, the editor-in-chief of the journal and director of the publishing house was O. H. Rystenko. During this early period the journal established itself as a scientific economic periodical in the Ukrainian academic landscape. In 2002 the Kharkiv National University of Economics (KhNEU) became a founder of the journal, and its rector, Doctor of Economic Sciences and Professor V. S. Ponomarenko, took over as editor-in-chief. Doctor of Economic Sciences and Professor M. O. Kyzym became scientific editor; he later became director of the Research Centre for Industrial Problems of Development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NDC IPR NAN Ukrainy). Since 2003 the publisher of the journal has been Publishing House INZHEK, whose name derives from "engineering-economic", the former name of KhNEU (Kharkiv Engineering-Economic Institute). In 2010 the Research Centre for Industrial Problems of Development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine joined as a co-founder of the journal. The journal's registration certificate was renewed in 2010 (KB No. 17288-6058 PR of 18.11.2010) and again in 2013 (KB No. 19905-9705 PR of 02.04.2013). By a decision of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting No. 802 of 14.03.2024, the journal was registered as a print media entity with identifier R30-03156. The publisher is listed as FOP Liburkina L. M. The journal is recognised in the List of Professional Publications in which the main results of dissertation works in economic sciences may be published (Resolution of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine No. 1-05/6 of 16.12.2009, Bulletin of the VAK of Ukraine, No. 1, 2010). It holds Category "B" status from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (Order No. 1643 of 28.12.2019). The journal has been published monthly since its establishment, producing twelve issues per year, and operates as an open-access publication under a Creative Commons CC BY-SA 4.0 licence. It maintains an annotated catalogue archive covering the years 2011 to 2026. Its editorial office is located in the Library Building of KhNEU in Kharkiv.
