Burning Eye Books is a small independent publisher in the South West that specializes in promoting spoken word artists. It aims to dispel the assumption that performance poetry does not transfer well to page and to give emerging and established artists opportunities to be published. It looks for the bold, the fearless and the strange, and is dedicated to providing an inclusive portfolio of the best and most promising performance poets in the UK. The publisher won the 2016 Innovative Publisher Saboteur Award and was shortlisted for Small Press of the Year 2019 by the British Book Awards.
