Bundaberg Rum RTD

Bundaberg Rum RTD is a ready-to-drink rum product line from Bundaberg Distilling Company, which operates Australia's most iconic distillery. The distillery was established in 1888 by seven Queenslanders and produced its first batch of Bundaberg Rum in 1889. The brand sources ingredients locally, matures rum for a minimum of two years, and offers a range of rums and liqueurs, some of which have won international awards.

Bundaberg Distillery was established in 1888 by seven Queenslanders, with an initial production team of five men. The first batch of Bundaberg Rum was produced in 1889. In 1890, a small supply was sent to Western Australia, followed by Sydney and Melbourne, establishing national ambition. The distillery faced a crippling economic depression in 1890-93, leading to receivership, but was bought back by three men. A fire broke out in 1907 in one of the still rooms, causing damage and ruined stock. In 1936, a lightning strike sparked an explosion that destroyed the distillery, despite efforts by hundreds of civilians, firefighters, and police; millions of litres of molasses flowed into the Burnett river. The brand has been making its most famous bold and rich rum for 130 years, and today operates with a team of master distillers who continue to experiment, craft, and blend. The distillery sources ingredients locally, including sugar cane from the rich red volcanic soil of the Bundaberg area, and matures rum for a minimum of two years.
