Overview

Budbee is a Sweden-based tech company founded in 2016 with the mission to make online shopping easier. It reaches more than 40 million people across Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands through parcel lockers and home deliveries, and its services are used by thousands of e-commerce companies including ASOS, Zalando, Inditex and H&M. On 31 October 2022, Budbee joined forces with Instabox under a new parent company, Instabee.

History

Budbee was founded in 2016 by Fredrik Hamilton, then a recent graduate of the Stockholm School of Economics, as a delivery company focused on ready-packed grocery bags. After a year of technological development, the business expanded into e-commerce parcels and had its first delivery in October. The successful launch of a delivery service for online shopping soon attracted external investors; before the end of the year, Budbee raised capital from a group including Karl-Johan Persson (CEO H&M) and Sebastian Siemiatkowski (Co-Founder & CEO Klarna). On 31 October 2022, Budbee joined forces with Instabox under a new parent company, Instabee.
