Overview

Brouwerij De Bock is a Belgian microbrewery founded by brewing engineer Pieter De Bock. The brewery opened its doors in the spring of 2018, together with an on-site tasting room, as the culmination of a personal brewing project that began in 2015 with the launch of Remi Blond. Pieter De Bock built his career in the Belgian brewing industry, starting as production manager at Brouwerij Affligem, serving as head brewer at Brouwerij Anders from 2012 to 2019, and later working at Brouwerij The Musketeers in Sint-Gillis-Waas until 2022. His first own beer, Remi Blond, an artisanal specialty beer, was immediately well received and grew into a beloved regional product. The brewery expanded its team over the years. In 2021 Jordi Bruynseels joined to take charge of the commercial side of the business, and in the same year Brouwerij De Bock launched a new beer called Desideer. In February 2022 Alain Dufait also joined the company, bringing years of management experience in the malting industry as well as a Master in Malting & Brewing Science from the University of Leuven. In 2024 the brewery moved to a new, hypermodern facility in the Pareinpark in Beveren, with sufficient capacity and expansion possibilities to produce great beers now and in the future. At the same time the newest beer, Germain, was launched, named after Alain's grandfather. The core range includes Remi (7.2% ABV), a fresh, fruity and pleasantly bitter blond beer of high fermentation; Desideer (9.2% ABV), a sturdy, round, creamy and full-bodied dark beer characterized by well-chosen caramel malts and a unique spice blend; and Germain (3.8% ABV), a light and thirst-quenching blond beer with a subtle balance. The brewery operates in Belgium and positions itself around tradition with ambition, combining artisanal craft with modern production capacity.
