Brot für die Welt

Brot für die Welt describes itself as a non-governmental organisation (NGO) and agency of the Protestant churches, working for global justice, peace and education and against hunger and poverty. Together with partner organisations it enables disadvantaged people in almost 80 countries to improve their living situation sustainably through their own efforts. It advocates for human rights, peace, a strong democracy, and access to education, health and water, and opposes hunger, poverty and the consequences of climate change. Brot für die Welt forms, together with Diakonie Deutschland, the Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung.

Brot für die Welt states that, together with its partner organisations, it enables disadvantaged people in almost 80 countries to improve their living situation sustainably through their own efforts. It describes itself as part of a global movement working for change worldwide and as part of a global civil society. It forms, together with Diakonie Deutschland, the Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung.
