Bronto Skylift is a global supplier of truck-mounted aerial platforms, designing and manufacturing vehicles for rescue, firefighting and industrial access. The company's history traces to 1972, when a workshop building aerials was established in Tampere.

The city of Tampere in southern Finland has a history of world-class engineering and machine workshops. About 50 years ago in this growing industrial city, a man got his hands on an early model of an aerial work platform and realised its potential for performing various jobs at height. In 1972, he and his partner established their own workshop building aerials to make working at height safer and more efficient, beginning the story of Bronto Skylift. The company still designs and manufactures the platforms in Finland, at factories in Tampere and Pori, as well as a service and administration centre in Pirkkala.
