History

Breckenridge Brewery opened in 1990 in the mountain town of Breckenridge, Colorado, nestled below the slopes on Main Street. In 1991 Todd Usry began his brewery apprenticeship in Breckenridge, and he and the team looked for locations in Denver to build a second brewpub with space for a bigger brewhouse. The second brewpub opened in downtown Denver in 1992. In 1996 the brewery said goodbye to its downtown location and moved several miles away to Kalamath Street, where it brewed for 19 years. As it approached 60,000 barrels a year, the team searched for a new home, and in 2015 found a 12-acre stretch of land in Littleton, Colorado, that was once a carnation farm. The farm-inspired campus on Brewery Lane features a new 100-barrel brewhouse, barrel-aging room, all-new packaging, dedicated tour staff, and the Farm House restaurant. In 2016 Breckenridge Brewery became a member of the Craft Brewers Collective, a family of craft breweries and unit of Anheuser-Busch, and it sends beer to forty-eight states. In 2023 it joined the newly created beer division of Tilray Brands.
