Brauerei Bub

Brauerei Bub is a private brewery based in Leinburg, Bavaria, Germany. It is described as the oldest private brewery in the Nuremberg region, with brewing in Leinburg dating back to 1617 at the instigation of the Nuremberg patriciate. The brewery, originally called Kyfabers Brey Haus, was renamed Zur Krone in 1830 when it came into the possession of Johann Bub and Kunigunde Bachmeyer. Since then it has been run by members of the Bub family, who were originally millers operating the old Roßmühle and the Obermühle in the Nuremberg Reichswald. The brewery produces a range of beers under the Leinburger brand, including wheat beer, dark beer, Pils, Hell, Lager, Goldmärzen and a Christmas festival beer. It remains a family-owned private enterprise and is a notable example of Franconian brewing tradition.
