BorrowMyDoggy was founded in 2012 by Rikke Rosenlund after she took care of a neighbour's dog, Aston. Instead of spending the day stuck indoors, Aston enjoyed an afternoon at the park, attended a garden party, and met new friends. Rosenlund realised that many dog owners could use help looking after their dog, and that thousands of people would love to take care of a dog for free simply because they love them. The platform connects dog owners with trusted local people who would love to look after their dog, making it easy to arrange walks, playtime, overnight stays or holidays.
