BMG Hungary Kft.

BMG Hungary Kft. was a Hungarian record company that operated from 2002 to 2004 as the Hungarian subsidiary of Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG). It was part of BMG's international network of local labels and affiliates, releasing and marketing music in Hungary during the early 2000s. The entity is documented as a record company active between 2002 and 2004, after which it ceased operations. Its former web domain, bmg.hu, is no longer an active corporate site and now resolves to a domain-parking page registered through Rackhost. Because the company was a subsidiary of BMG, its catalogue and operations were tied to the parent group's broader recorded-music business. The brand is distinct from the later BMG rights-management company and from other BMG-named entities; this dossier covers only the Hungarian Kft. as evidenced.

BMG Hungary Kft. was established in 2002 as the Hungarian subsidiary of Bertelsmann Music Group, the recorded-music division of the German media conglomerate Bertelsmann. It functioned as a local record company, handling releases and related activities in the Hungarian market during a period when major international music groups maintained country-level subsidiaries across Europe. The company is documented as active from 2002 to 2004, a short operational window. After 2004 it ceased to operate as a distinct record company. The bmg.hu domain associated with the entity is no longer an active corporate website; it is now a parked domain registered through Rackhost, indicating that the original online presence has lapsed. No further verified details about its catalogue, artists, or leadership are available in the supplied evidence.
