Blanton & Sons Heating, Cooling and Plumbing

Blanton & Sons Heating, Cooling and Plumbing is a family-owned residential HVAC and plumbing contractor based in Ravenel, South Carolina, serving Charleston and the surrounding Lowcountry Tri-County area. The company was founded in 1998 by Jimmy and Lorraine Blanton as a two-person operation, and today their sons Aaron and Brandon help lead the team. The business markets itself on family accountability — the Blanton name appears on every truck — and on nearly three decades of service to Charleston-area homeowners. The company provides air conditioning repair, installation, and maintenance; heating services including heat pump and furnace work; and residential plumbing. It emphasizes Charleston-specific challenges such as high humidity, salt-air corrosion near the coast, and older homes on the peninsula that lack central ductwork. Blanton & Sons promotes Manual J load calculations for sizing, coastal-rated equipment and coated coils for coastal installations, and slim-duct or ductless mini-split solutions for historic homes. Blanton & Sons holds South Carolina mechanical contractor license CLM.110290 and states that its technicians are NATE-certified and EPA-certified. It is a Gold Member of the South Carolina Association of Licensed Trades (SCALT). The company offers free estimates, transparent pricing, a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and financing through Microf, Service Finance, Synchrony, and GoodLeap. It also offers a maintenance membership called the Jimmy’s Comfort & Care Plan for $99. As of the official website, the company reports a 4.8-star Google rating across more than 1,400 five-star reviews. The company operates seven days a week and serves communities from downtown Charleston and the Sea Islands to Summerville, Moncks Corner, and Walterboro. Its positioning is local, family-run, and service-oriented, with customer testimonials frequently naming individual technicians.
