It was formed in July 2020 through the merger of Bit Promotion Inc. (株式会社ビットプロモーション), founded in May 2012 by Katsuhiko Matsubara, and Groove (一般社団法人グルーヴ), established in 2010 by Toshiki Kameyama after he left Omnibus Promotion. The group includes affiliated companies Apt Pro (a voice actor agency), Bright Idea (established in 2018 when the production division became independent), and Studio T&T, a recording studio that became a group company through a share transfer agreement announced in February 2026. The company also operates its own recording studio, STUDIO T&T. Leadership changed in September 2023, when Katsuhiko Matsubara stepped down as representative director and president to become a director, and Norio Fukui, previously senior managing director, became representative director and president.

History

Bit Groove Promotion Inc. was established in July 2020 through the merger of two predecessor entities: Bit Promotion Inc. and Groove. Bit Promotion Inc. was founded in May 2012 by Katsuhiko Matsubara, who had previously worked at a game company. Groove was established in 2010 by Toshiki Kameyama, who had worked at an advertising agency and a program sales company before joining Omnibus Promotion, and then went independent to found Groove as a general incorporated association. After the 2020 merger, the new company continued and expanded the sound production business of both predecessors. It became a full member of the Japan Audio Producers Association. The company produced sound for numerous TV anime titles starting in 2020, including GETUP! GETLIVE! #げらげら, 天晴爛漫!, and キミと僕の最後の戦場、あるいは世界が始まる聖戦. In 2021 it worked on titles such as 俺、つしま, D_CIDE TRAUMEREI THE ANIMATION, 聖女の魔力は万能です, and ブルーピリオド. The following years saw continued growth with works like CUE!, パリピ孔明, オーバーロードIV, ブルーロック (2022), 転生王女と天才令嬢の魔法革命, Buddy Daddies, 鴨乃橋ロンの禁断推理 (2023), スナックバス江, ぽんのみち, 先輩はおとこのこ (2024), and ウィッチウォッチ, ババンババンバンバンパイア, 公女殿下の家庭教師 (2025). In September 2023, a leadership change was announced: Katsuhiko Matsubara stepped down as representative director and president to become a director, and Norio Fukui, who had served as senior managing director, became the new representative director and president. In March 2024, the company moved its headquarters from Shibuya-ku, Sendagaya to Nakano-ku, Yayoi-cho. In February 2026, the company announced that it had acquired the recording studio Yugen Kaisha Tact Studio / STUDIO T&T through a share transfer agreement, making it a group company. In April 2026, the company launched an audio content label called Bit grooove lab. The company also has affiliated companies: Apt Pro, a voice actor agency; Bright Idea, established in 2018 when the production division became independent (with all members transferring at that time, though as of 2026 only Apt Pro is listed as an affiliated voice actor agency on the company's overview); and Studio T&T.
