Beyond Foundation

Beyond Foundation is a Swiss registered non-profit foundation founded in 2007 by the Swiss couple Regula and Beat Curti. Its stated mission is to build bridges between people from different cultures and traditions worldwide, using music as the medium to foster intercultural understanding, awareness, dialogue and mutual respect. The foundation describes itself as working in a globalised world where mutual understanding and compassion are the only way to live together peacefully. The foundation offers musicians from all cultures the opportunity to inspire one another and collaborate through their music. It aims to create a worldwide team spirit by strengthening community and togetherness. Beyond Foundation realises and produces its own musical works and supports projects in Switzerland and abroad that correspond to its founding idea. A flagship output is the "Beyond Music" album series. The third volume, "Beyond Music Vol.3 CONFLICT", involved 54 artists from 40 different countries who approached the theme of conflict in very different ways. One song addresses the global refugee crisis, another the ecological conflict between humans and the planet; some pieces embody "conflict" through instrumental arrangement, others through the meeting of different musical styles. The foundation is based in Switzerland and operates internationally, with its activities centred on music production, artist collaboration and cultural exchange projects.
