betterplace.org is an online donation platform. According to its official website, it is Germany's largest donation platform and is itself a non-profit organization. The betterplace.org gGmbH is based in Berlin and is a wholly owned subsidiary of gut.org gemeinnützige Aktiengesellschaft.

The betterplace.org gGmbH was founded in 2024 as a wholly owned subsidiary of gut.org gemeinnützige Aktiengesellschaft and took over the betterplace.org division from gut.org gemeinnützige Aktiengesellschaft on 06.09.2024 through a spin-off/demerger under the German Transformation Act. gut.org gemeinnützige Aktiengesellschaft was created by a change of legal form from betterplace gemeinnützige Stiftungs-GmbH, based in Berlin, by resolution dated 25.2.2010.
