BestFilm.eu OÜ was established in 2009 in Estonia. From its base in Tallinn, the company built a film distribution business focused on the Baltic states, handling theatrical, television and home-video rights for international titles. Its website archives annual line-ups beginning with 2010, indicating that it was actively releasing films in the region from its early years. Over the following decade, BestFilm.eu expanded its relationships with the leading multiplex chains in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, including Forum Cinemas, Cinamon, Solaris Kino and MultiKino. The company describes its typical arrangement as holding exclusive cinema, TV and DVD rights to all of its projects, with exclusive theatrical rights usually covering the whole Baltic territory. This model allowed it to coordinate releases across all three countries, often on the same date. By the early 2020s, BestFilm.eu was distributing a mix of international dramas, family films and documentaries. Its 2021 line-up included the drama The Father (2020), directed by Florian Zeller and starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman; the family adventure Poly (2020), directed by Nicolas Vanier; and the documentary House of Cardin (2019). These titles were released in Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian theatres, in some cases simultaneously. Beyond distribution, BestFilm.eu has offered digital laboratory services through its associated DCP lab and has expressed openness to partnerships in film distribution, advertising and IT services. The company remains active and privately held, registered in Estonia under registration number 12521626.
