Beijing Public Housing Center, formally Beijing Public Housing Center Co., Ltd. and formerly known as the Beijing Municipal Affordable Housing Construction Investment Center, was established in June 2011 as a state-owned enterprise under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, with a one-time capital injection of 100 billion yuan at establishment. Its development goal is 'government support, market-oriented operation, sustainable development,' and its main functions are public rental housing construction and shantytown redevelopment resettlement housing construction. It holds 120 public rental housing projects with nearly 127,400 housing units. In 2019, it had 14 wholly owned and controlling subsidiaries and more than 700 employees.
