Beidahuang Group Co., Ltd.

Beidahuang Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as Beidahuang Group) is located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, with a total operating land area of 53,600 square kilometers. It has 48.744 million mu of cultivated land and is a national-level ecological demonstration zone and a national modernized large-scale agriculture demonstration zone. It administers 9 branch companies, 1 subsidiary, 113 farm (pasture) limited companies, and 674 state-owned and state-controlled legal-person holding enterprises. Its predecessor was the Heilongjiang Provincial State Farm Administration, and it was restructured into Beidahuang Group Co., Ltd. in December 2020. With the approval of the State Council, the Ministry of Finance was authorized to act as the investor representative for Heilongjiang Beidahuang State Farm Group Corporation, and it is defined by the Ministry of Finance as a commercial state-owned enterprise whose main business is in important industries and key areas related to national security and the lifeline of the national economy, mainly undertaking major special tasks. As an important national commodity grain base, its grain production has remained stable above 40 billion jin for 13 consecutive years, achieving "twenty consecutive bumper harvests," and it has cumulatively produced over one trillion jin of grain for the country. It has also implemented agricultural industrialization management, with 11 national and provincial leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization, building pillar industries such as rice, flour, oil, dairy, meat, potato, and seed, and cultivating a number of well-known Chinese trademarks such as "Beidahuang," "Wandashan," and "Jiusan," among which the "Beidahuang" brand value reached 201.859 billion yuan.

The history of Beidahuang Group traces back to 1947, when the Financial and Economic Committee of the Northeast Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to trial-run state farms. In 1963, the Northeast State Farm Administration was established. In 1976, the Provincial State Farm Administration was established. In 1997, the Heilongjiang Provincial State Farm Administration was renamed Heilongjiang Provincial State Farm Administration. In 2018, Heilongjiang Beidahuang State Farm Group Corporation was listed and established. In 2020, Heilongjiang Beidahuang State Farm Group Corporation was renamed Beidahuang Group Co., Ltd.
