Barry Plant

Barry Plant is an award-winning real estate network with more than 45 years of experience, operating across Victoria and beyond. It provides services for buying, selling, renting, and property management. The company began in 1979 with its first office in Templestowe, and in 1999 merged with EJ Doherty Real Estate to form Barry Plant Doherty, later becoming Barry Plant Real Estate in 2006.

The Barry Plant story begins in 1979 when the first Barry Plant office opened in Templestowe. In the following 20 years, offices were established from the northeast to the southeast of Melbourne. In 1999, the 15 Barry Plant offices (under the leadership of Barry Plant) merged with 16 EJ Doherty Real Estate offices (under the leadership of Vic Care) and Barry Plant Doherty was formed. Between July 1999 and December 2005, Barry Plant Doherty doubled in size to 60 offices, covering a significant slice of metropolitan Melbourne. In early 2006 the group expanded into regional Victoria, dropped 'Doherty', and became Barry Plant Real Estate once more.
