Barrettine

The Barrettine Group is a highly diverse chemical business based in Bristol, UK, with over 140 years of experience. It is family owned and has four trading divisions: Barrettine Products, Barrettine Industrial, Barrettine Environmental Health, and Woodman Hill Ltd. The company was established in 1879 by J.V. Barrett Esq. in the Bristol dockyards.

Barrettine was established in 1879 in River Street Docks, Bristol by J.V. Barrett Esq., originally to supply whale oil, fish oils, tar, lamp oils, tallow etc. to ships and ship chandlers. In 1973, the business was bought by brothers Colin & Peter Bailey. In 1983, Barrettine Industrial was established, and in 1984, Barrettine Products was established.
