Barnett Roofing

Barnett Roofing is a family-owned roofing contractor based in Potlatch, Idaho, serving North Central Idaho and the surrounding Palouse region. The company traces its origins to 1983, when Glen Barnett began roofing residential homes in Tyler, Texas. By 1990 Glen had relocated his family and his business to Idaho, where he broadened the company's expertise across composition, metal, tile and flat membrane roofing systems. His sons learned the trade as summer laborers, and in 2014 the business was formally renamed Barnett Roofing LLC, carrying the founder's commitment to quality and integrity into a new generation. The company positions itself as one of the most experienced roofing contractors in Idaho, advertising more than 43 years of roofing expertise and a problem-solving approach for roofs that other contractors avoid. Its service area covers Latah County and nearby communities including Moscow, Potlatch, Genesee, Troy, Deary, Kendrick, Princeton, St. Maries, Plummer and Lewiston. Barnett Roofing emphasizes American labor only, structural repairs and rot remediation, honest assessments, and projects completed start-to-finish without delays. Barnett Roofing offers a full spectrum of roofing, siding, gutter and restoration services designed for North Idaho's demanding climate, including heavy snow loads, high winds, ice dams and freeze-thaw cycles. Residential work includes composition, metal, tile, wood shake and slate systems for new installations, full replacements and repairs. Commercial work focuses on flat and low-slope systems such as TPO and EPDM membranes, while the company also specializes in barn and structural roofing, from rotted trusses to full metal roof retrofits and barn restorations. Gutter installation has been part of the offering since 1994, when the company invested in a portable trailer and gutter machine; that equipment was upgraded in 2016 to handle more materials and sizing options. The company also offers LeafX gutter covers to manage roof runoff and keep debris out. Barnett Roofing became a GAF Factory Certified Roofing Contractor in 2015 and earned GAF's Master Commercial Roofing Contractor award in 2017 after scoring 10/10 on a 23,000 sq. ft. TPO roof for the Gritman Medical Office Building III in Moscow, Idaho. The company remains privately held and family-owned, with deep roots in the Palouse region and a focus on craftsmanship, integrity and doing the job right the first time.

Barnett Roofing's history begins in 1983, when Glen Barnett started roofing residential homes in Tyler, Texas. Over the following years he built a reputation for craftsmanship and integrity while working across multiple roofing systems. By 1990, Glen had relocated his growing family and his business to Idaho, where he continued to expand his expertise in composition, metal, tile and flat membrane roofing systems. His sons joined him on the job in their younger years, learning the trade as summer laborers and proving to be some of his most capable workers. In 1994, Barnett Roofing expanded its services to include continuous aluminum gutter installation, investing in a portable trailer and gutter machine. That system was upgraded in 2016 to a newer model capable of handling more materials and sizing options, reflecting the company's continued evolution of service excellence. In 2000, Glen began using TPO membrane roofing for flat-roof applications, a product he valued for its durability and ease of installation. In 2014, the company name evolved to Barnett Roofing LLC, carrying forward Glen's long-standing commitment to quality and integrity into a new generation. The following year, in 2015, Barnett Roofing became a GAF Factory Certified Roofing Contractor. In 2017, the company earned GAF's Master Commercial Roofing Contractor award after scoring 10/10 on a 23,000 sq. ft. TPO roof for the Gritman Medical Office Building III in Moscow, Idaho. That project demonstrated the experience and attention to detail Barnett Roofing brings to clients looking for a roofing contractor. Today, Barnett Roofing operates as a family-owned, Palouse-based company serving North Central Idaho. It describes itself as one of the most experienced roofing companies in Idaho, with more than 43 years of service, and offers a full spectrum of roofing, siding, gutter and restoration services built to handle North Idaho's toughest weather.
