History
Bank of Panshin (BOP), formerly known as Panchiao Credit Cooperatives (PCC), was established on April 25, 1957 and has upheld customer-centric integrity management since its establishment. In response to a rapidly liberalized financial environment and in compliance with the Standards and Methods for Reorganization of Credit Cooperative into Commercial Bank announced on December 6, 1995, PCC acquired the Kaohsiung Fifth Credit Cooperative on September 29, 1997 and officially transformed into a commercial bank on the following day, extending its business premise beyond the boundary of New Taipei City. It then made several adjustments and established branch offices according to business development needs. In support of government policies, BOP acquired the Chiayi First Credit Cooperative on March 7, 2005, opening 46 branches in total. On July 21, 2014, BOP officially acquired the Taipei City Ninth Credit Cooperative, obtaining a total of 64 branches after the merge. In support of government policies balancing urban and rural development of remote areas, BOP established the Yanchao Branch in Yanchao District, Kaohsiung City, on November 27, 2018; the Miaoli Branch in Tongluo Township, Miaoli County, on December 16, 2019; the Shigang Branch in Shigang District, Taichung City, on September 25, 2023; and the Tianwei Branch in Tianwei Township, Changhua County, on November 3, 2025, opening 68 branches in total, among them 48 branches based in Taipei City and New Taipei City.
