Banco Popolare was a major Italian cooperative banking group headquartered in Verona. Formed through mergers of local popular banks, it had a strong presence in northern Italy. In 2017, Banco Popolare merged with Banca Popolare di Milano to form Banco BPM, the third-largest banking group in Italy.
