Backaldrin

Backaldrin is a baking ingredients company founded in 1964 by Alois Augendopler and his wife Juliana. It is owned by their son Peter Augendopler. The company offers more than 800 products and is known for the Original Kornspitz, introduced in 1984. It has expanded internationally, including into Germany and Eastern Europe.

In 1968, the company expanded to Germany and found a production site in Asten, Upper Austria. In 1984, the Original Kornspitz was introduced. In 1990, the company began its engagement in Eastern Europe, establishing representations and later branches in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, followed by Bulgaria, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. In 1995, the company started offering BIO-quality products.
