According to Axelum's official history page, Fiesta Brands, Inc. (FBI) took over an old coconut processing plant located in Medina, Misamis Oriental in Northern Mindanao in 1986, producing desiccated coconut and coconut milk powder. In 1990, FBI acquired Red V Foods Corp. to gain a market and distribution foothold in the United States. In 2003, Fiesta Ingredients Australia was set up in response to increasing demand in the Oceania region. In 2010, Axelum was incorporated and entered into a long-term partnership with Vita Coco. In 2017, Axelum consolidated the entire assets of FBI including United States and Australia operations. In 2019, Axelum debuted as the only pure coconut company listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange. In 2020, Axelum continued to flourish despite the global pandemic. In 2023, Axelum sealed a strategic partnership with Metro Pacific Agro Ventures, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation.
