Augusta Ratio S.p.A.

Augusta Ratio S.p.A. is the holding company of an independent Italian Group operating in the wholesale and retail energy markets. Established in 2012, the Group manages all stages of the gas & power value chain, from procurement to trading, transportation and dispatching, up to sale. It is active on the main European exchange platforms and in Italy on the national Gas Hub Exchange (PSV) and the GME platform for power. Sales to end customers and wholesalers take place through the controlled companies Levigas, Gasway and Vestina Gas & Luce, each with its own brand positioning, primarily targeting residential and microbusiness customers.

Augusta Ratio was established in November 2012 by a group of managers from leading companies in the sector, who created a competent organisation with high know-how. Founded in 2012, the Augusta Ratio Group operates with an integrated logic along the entire commercial value chain of natural gas and electricity, from procurement to trading, managing all activities related to logistics, transport and shipping, up to wholesale sale. The Group is present on the main European exchange platforms, maintaining stable and lasting commercial relationships with the main international operators. In 2015, Levigas acquired 12% of Vestina Gas s.r.l., acquired 25% of Energia Adriatica Abruzzese S.p.A., and Gestim S.r.l. was established with a 12.5% stake held by Augusta Ratio. In 2016/2017, Abaco Energia S.r.l. was created with a 30% share held by Levigas S.p.A. In 2018, Augusta Ratio acquired control of Gasway, Levigas acquired 68% of Vestina Gas s.r.l., and Vestina Gas s.r.l. became Vestina Gas & Luce S.p.A. In 2019, Augusta Ratio was among the Leaders of Growth according to Il Sole 24 Ore. In 2020, E2A S.p.A. was incorporated into Vestina Gas & Luce S.p.A. In 2021, Augusta Ratio was among the 100 Italian Excellences. In 2022, Augusta became operational.
