Atheist Refugee Relief Germany

Atheist Refugee Relief Germany, also known as Säkulare Flüchtlingshilfe Deutschland e.V., is a German organization that supports refugees who have decided against their religion and are exposed to prejudice and persecution. It offers resources to assist refugees in the German learning process, and it has run a fundraising campaign called "999 Sponsors." Its work is described in endorsements as practical and political, standing up for people threatened because of their personal convictions.

Atheist Refugee Relief Germany, also known as Säkulare Flüchtlingshilfe Deutschland e.V., is a German organization. Its foundation story is connected to Rana Ahmed, who did not believe in Allah and fled Saudi Arabia, eventually reaching Germany. In a refugee shelter in Cologne she found that the danger she had fled had traveled with her, in the form of other refugees, some of whom considered apostasy a terrible, even deadly crime. She later contacted Mina Ahadi, chairperson of the Central Council of Ex-Muslims (ZdE), who also lived in Cologne. The organization has completed the campaign "999 Sponsors"; although the target of 999 was not reached, two mini-jobs can now be paid permanently. It now offers a page where refugees and others can obtain resources that assist in the German learning process, available in English and German, with Persian and Arabic to follow.

Supports refugees who have decided against their religion and are exposed to prejudice and persecution, through practical and political work.
