Overview
Artsounds is a Netherlands-based technology company specialising in Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and Augmented Reality (A.R.) for the sports, gaming and entertainment sectors. It was founded by Johnathan Kelly and began life in 2015 as a Dutch music label and publisher. In its original incarnation the label built a catalogue featuring artists such as Equalz, Jacin Trill, Dopebwoy, Architrackz, JoeyAK and Dylisa, and it accumulated a substantial run of gold and platinum records in the Dutch market. As the music landscape shifted and distribution deals became increasingly decisive, Kelly chose to redirect his expertise and passion toward building a technology platform designed to bring fans closer to artists in distinctive ways. In 2023 Artsounds was transformed from a music label into a technology company innovating across the sports, gaming and entertainment industries. The concept matured into an award-winning fan-experience technology. Artsounds attracted the attention of Manchester City, part of the City Football Group, which recognised the potential of the company's technology and chose to collaborate in order to harness the power of A.I. and A.R. for immersive fan engagement. The company's work in this field was recognised with the Reimagine Football Award in 2023. Today Artsounds positions itself at the intersection of emerging technology and fan culture, applying AI and AR to deepen engagement for clubs, brands and entertainment properties. Its heritage as a music label — with a roster that shaped a wave of Dutch hip-hop and urban music — remains part of its identity, while its current focus is on technology-driven immersive experiences.
