Overview

Anim (アニム) is a Japanese adult game (eroge) brand owned by S.I.S Planning Co., Ltd. It debuted in 2001 with "Ryōjoku Kangofu Gakuin" (凌辱看護婦学院), a game based on an adult novel by Dōmu Kitahara published by France Shoin. In its early years, Anim specialized in adapting France Shoin's erotic novels into games, often with dark themes of violation and humiliation. The brand found success in 2004 with the tentacle-themed "Gyakushū" (虐襲) series, and from 2008 onward increasingly focused on married-woman (hitozuma) and netorare (NTR) themes, starting with "Musuko no Tomodachi ni Okasarete" (息子の友達に犯されて). Anim has launched sub-brands to expand its range: "ANIM team.MM" in 2011, led by director Ren Makura, which debuted with "NTR Kanojo wa Ijimerarekko" and later explored swinging with "Ore no Kanojo wa Taninbō ga Ki ni Naru Yō desu." (2020); and "ANIM Mother&Wife" in 2015, focusing on mother-son relationships, with main illustrator Hazuki Karu, debuting with "Itsumademo Musuko no Mama ja Irarenai!" which became a series. As of October 2025, the Anim brand's cumulative sales exceeded one million units. The brand is positioned within S.I.S Planning as the main production label since 2013. Its games are sold only in Japan and are restricted to adults 18 and over.

History

Anim is an adult game brand owned by S.I.S Planning Co., Ltd. It debuted in 2001 with "Ryōjoku Kangofu Gakuin" (凌辱看護婦学院), a game based on an adult novel by Dōmu Kitahara originally published by France Shoin. In its early years, the brand focused on adapting France Shoin's erotic novels into games, including works by Kitahara and Hikaru Wakatsuki. These early titles often featured themes of violation and humiliation. In 2004, Anim achieved popularity with the tentacle-themed "Gyakushū" (虐襲) series, which led to sequels and established the brand's reputation for dark-themed original works. In 2008, the release of "Musuko no Tomodachi ni Okasarete" (息子の友達に犯されて) marked a shift toward married-woman (hitozuma) themes, which became a mainstay of the brand's output. In 2011, director Ren Makura launched the sub-brand "ANIM team.MM" to create works of his own preference, debuting with "NTR Kanojo wa Ijimerarekko" (NTR彼女はいじめられっ娘). This sub-brand later expanded its style with the 2020 release "Ore no Kanojo wa Taninbō ga Ki ni Naru Yō desu." (俺の彼女は他人棒が気になるようです。), which dealt with swinging. Separately, in 2015, Anim launched the label "ANIM Mother&Wife," focusing on mother-son relationships, with main illustrator Hazuki Karu. It debuted with "Itsumademo Musuko no Mama ja Irarenai!" (いつまでも息子のままじゃいられない!), which became a series. Since 2013, Anim has been positioned as the main production label within S.I.S Planning. In October 2025, the brand's cumulative sales exceeded one million units.
