Overview

Angel Robotics is a South Korean wearable robotics company founded in 2017. It develops wearable robots that interact naturally with the human body, focusing on three core technologies: understanding human movement intention, designing and controlling actuators with precise force control, and generating human-adaptive gait trajectories and assistance forces. The company also works on internalizing key components. Its technology has been validated through two consecutive gold medals (2020 and 2024) at the Cybathlon, an international competition for people with physical disabilities using bionic assistive devices. Its flagship products include AngelX M20, a rehabilitation wearable robot for patients with incomplete lower-limb paralysis due to stroke or Parkinson's disease; Angel Suit, a muscle-assist wearable robot for returning to daily life; and Angel X, a product for various industrial safety environments. AngelX M20 became the first wearable robot to receive Class 3 medical device certification in December 2022, enabling medical reimbursement (MM304), and is used in various medical institutions including tertiary hospitals. In March 2024, Angel Robotics listed on the KOSDAQ market. The company is pursuing global certifications for overseas expansion and is promoting a 'connected healthcare' business covering the full rehabilitation cycle, from hospital treatment to continuous home healthcare.
