André Opticas

André Opticas is a Portuguese eyewear retailer with a history dating back to 1981, when two young optical apprentices bought a small shop in Oeiras. The company has expanded over the years, opening shops in OeirasParque Shopping Centre and acquiring Optica do Chiado in 2006. It offers a range of eyewear products including eyeglasses, sunglasses, and accessories.

The story begins in 1981 in Oeiras, when two young optical apprentices, Plínio (23) and his wife Ana (21), bought a small shop on Rua da Figueirinha. They worked independently for 10 years, creating their own concept of optics. In 1998, they opened two new shops in the OeirasParque Shopping Centre. In 2006, they acquired one of the oldest opticians in the country, Optica do Chiado, located on Rua Garrett.
