History
The collection was created by Jean Boudriot in the 1970s with the publication of Vaisseau de 74 canons in 4 volumes. It now features 100 titles and nearly 120 volumes all dedicated to sailing ships of the Classical period (1650-1850). Two principles remain immutable: the predominance of drawings, and the exclusive use of original sources from archives, museum collections and contemporary publications. The publisher also offers monographs and studies by Jean Boudriot covering all types of ships, and has published works by David Roberts, Gérard Delacroix, Jean-Claude Lemineur and Franco Fissore. Commandant Alain Demerliac entrusted the publisher with his Nomenclatures des navires français.
