Altreconomia is a monthly magazine born in November 1999 on the initiative of a group of organizations from the solidarity economy and international cooperation. It is also a publishing house that publishes essays, guides, and manuals on social investigation, solidarity economy, responsible tourism, environment, self-production, organic and sustainable cooking, and investigations. Additionally, it is a communication agency for non-profits, designing and producing editorial products and awareness and fundraising campaigns, handling press offices, developing websites, and creating events. Its mission is to contribute to building a solidarity, sustainable, and fair economy by guaranteeing independent information and communication services for organizations of the other economy. It is also engaged in training and education projects on critical consumption and global citizenship for students and adults.
