History

Allist was founded in March 2004 in Shanghai by entrepreneur Du Jinhao and Dr. Guo Jianhui, a scientist with the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Lifetime Scientist honor. The company was established as an innovative pharmaceutical enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, with a mission to address unmet clinical needs in oncology through first-in-class and best-in-class drugs. In 2007, China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) approved the clinical trial application for allisartan, an antihypertensive drug candidate. In 2008, Allist expanded its R&D center, and the allisartan clinical study was designated a major project under the Ministry of Science and Technology's 863 Program for major diseases in modern medicine. In 2009, the company launched a proton pump inhibitor (lansoprazole enteric-coated pellet capsules), and Jiangsu Allist Biomedical Co., Ltd. was established as an industrialization base. In 2010, Jiangsu Allist was formally founded with registered capital of RMB 240 million, and allisartan was successfully included in the National Major New Drug Innovation Program's 11th Five-Year Plan. In 2012, the NMPA approved the marketing application for allisartan, making it China's first Class 1 antihypertensive sartan drug. In 2013, Allist transferred allisartan to Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals. The company was recognized as a high-tech enterprise and passed re-certification in 2016. In 2016, the NMPA approved the clinical trial application for furmonertinib. In 2019, Allist completed A-round and A+ round financing, completed its shareholding reform to become Shanghai Allist Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., established Shanghai Allist Marketing Planning Co., Ltd., had furmonertinib included in the NMPA's priority review list, and broke ground on its headquarters R&D base in the International Medical Park. In 2020, Allist partnered with Belgium's OCTIMET Oncology for combination therapy with furmonertinib, and on December 2, 2020, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange STAR Market (stock code 688578). The company was named among China's Top 100 Pharmaceutical Innovation Enterprises in 2020. In 2021, the NMPA approved the marketing application for 艾弗沙® (furmonertinib mesylate), Allist's second Class 1 new drug. 艾弗沙® entered China's National Reimbursement Drug List (NRDL) in 2021. Allist also entered an exclusive overseas licensing agreement for furmonertinib with ArriVent and signed a technology transfer agreement with Fudan University for the PGAM1 inhibitor KH3 project. In 2022, 艾弗沙® received the "2021 Drug Innovation Jishi Award — Annual Drug Innovation Achievement Award," and its first-line indication was approved for EGFR exon 19 deletion or exon 21 L858R substitution mutation-positive locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC. In 2023, the first-line indication of 艾弗沙® entered the NRDL. Allist has continued to expand its pipeline and partnerships, including licensing in a potential global first-in-class ADC in 2026 and advancing furmonertinib into adjuvant treatment for EGFR-mutant NSCLC.
