Overview
Allied Petroleum is a New Zealand-based fuel supplier that delivers bulk diesel, petrol, and provides fuel storage and dispensing systems. It operates a nationwide network of 24/7 fuel stops and is an authorized distributor of Mobil lubricants. The company is part of the HWR Group.
History
Allied Petroleum was formed in 1993, taking fuel to Canterbury farmers. By 2000, it was contracted by Mobil as its sole South Island hauler. In 2003, it acquired three other fuel distributors, expanding into the West Coast, Otago, and Southland. In 2004, it purchased Kiwi Fuel Lines and Sherwood Petroleum, extending the Allied brand to the lower North Island. Also in 2004, after a sale of shares, Allied Petroleum became a fully owned subsidiary of the HWR Group. In 2008, 'never run out' became its motto. In 2010, it purchased Kauriland Petroleum. In 2011, it launched its own fuel card on the Paymark system. In 2012, it formed a joint venture with Wealleans Petroleum to expand into Waikato and Bay of Plenty. By mid-2013, total delivered fuel litres hit one billion.
