Alexandre Turpault

Alexandre Turpault is a French home linen brand whose company was created in 1847 in Cholet, France, by Alexandre Turpault. The brand designs, produces and distributes fine home linen in the French tradition, with a reputation for material quality, decorative detail and the quality of its whites. Its collections include luxury bed linen in linen, blends, cotton satin or cotton percale, bath linen in organically grown cotton, luxury table linen in linen, and a range of accessories in noble materials. Many products are made in France and hold the Origine France Garantie certification, supported by the brand's own confection workshop in the Hauts-de-France region.

In 1847, Alexandre Turpault created his textile company in Cholet, France. After founding his wool spinning house in the Pays de la Loire region, he partnered in 1849 with Charles Libaud, then owner of a cold dye works specialising in indigo cotton dyeing. In 1851 the two associates rented a house on rue du Sentier in Paris to serve as a shop. From 1862, Alexandre Turpault took part in the rise of modern retail and the development of department stores, becoming the principal supplier of whites to Le Bon Marché, the Parisian department store. Decades later, the brand bearing his name continues the tradition of its savoir-faire and creates high-end products that are as aesthetic as they are comfortable. The company designs, produces and distributes fine home linen made in the purest French tradition, and its own confection workshop is located in the Hauts-de-France region.
