Overview
Albacete TeVe (often abbreviated AB TeVe) was a local television channel based in Albacete, Spain. It was owned by the multimedia group Radio, Prensa y Televisión S.A., which also operated the ABC Punto Radio station in Albacete on 90.2 FM. The company held numerous local DTT licences in Castilla-La Mancha as well as one of the four regional DTT licences awarded in the regional competition. Beyond Albacete, its signal could be tuned in the main cities of Castilla-La Mancha under the names TVCM, TCM and Voz Castilla-La Mancha, first in analogue from 2005 and later on DTT. The channel was associated with the Punto TV network and adapted its corporate image to that network; after the network ended, Albacete TeVe continued to use the same image. Its output was generalist, based on the television offering of Municipal TV, with local current affairs concentrated at midday and in the evening. During the Feria de Albacete, AB TeVe — like the other local television station in the city — broadcast all of its local programming from a marquee installed next to the fairground. In March 2013, with the sale of Vocento's radio station network to COPE, the Punto Radio Albacete station became Rock FM and was separated from Albacete TeVe. The closure of AB TeVe and Voz Castilla-La Mancha took place on 22 March 2013. In 2013 Albacete TeVe and VOZ disappeared and their licence was bought by Popular TV CLM, which itself ended up closing in December 2015.
