Agillix

Agillix (formerly Agri Nord) is a Danish farmers' association and agricultural advisory company based in North Jutland. It advises farmers on economics, law and a broad range of agricultural disciplines including crop production, pig production, cattle production, and nature and environment. It also advises small and medium-sized businesses such as carpenters and hairdressers on economics, auditing, HR and payroll. The company operates from three offices in Hobro, Aalborg and Aars, and employs 152 staff across the three locations. It is a member of Landbrug & Fødevarer, the Danish agriculture and food industry association. Agri Nord was formed in 2008 through the merger of Vesthimmerlands Landboforening and Hobro-Aalborg Landboforening, both of which were themselves the result of earlier mergers among smaller Himmerland farmers' associations. The organisation is owned by its farmer members, who elect a board at annual meetings and general assemblies. It has two arms: a political arm led by the board chairman, and a business arm led by an appointed director. Agillix continues to expand its advisory services, including recent hires such as Jesper Kongsted as director of economic advisory, and events such as the Grovfoderdage (roughage days) for cattle farmers and the new HandelsERFA group focused on interest rates, commodity markets and the Green Tripartite.

Agillix, formerly known as Agri Nord, is a North Jutland farmers' association and advisory company. Its history is one of successive mergers among smaller Himmerland farmers' associations. The most recent merger took place in 2008, when Vesthimmerlands Landboforening merged with Hobro-Aalborg Landboforening to form Agri Nord. Vesthimmerlands Landboforening was formed in 2000 from the following associations: Nibe-Løgstør Landboforening (1870), Landboforeningen Vesthimmerland (1907), Himmerlands Samvirkende Landboforeninger (1910), Års og Omegns Landboforening (1916), and Farsø og Omegnes Landboforening (1951). Hobro-Aalborg Landboforening was formed in 2005 from Aalborg Amts Landboforening (1844) and Hobro og Omegns Landboforening (1875). The organisation is owned by its farmer members. At annual meetings and a general assembly, members elect a board to lead the association. The association has two arms: a political arm and a business arm. The board chairman serves as the political face outward, while the association appoints a director to lead the business side. Agri Nord is a member of Landbrug & Fødevarer. The company advises farmers on economics, law and a broad range of agricultural disciplines such as crop production, pig production, cattle production, and nature and environment. It also advises small and medium-sized enterprises, such as carpenters and hairdressers, on economics, auditing, HR and payroll. The company has three offices in Hobro, Aalborg and Aars, and employs 152 staff across the three locations. In recent years, under the name Agillix, the organisation has continued to develop its advisory offerings. It has hired Jesper Kongsted as director of economic advisory as of 21 September, held Grovfoderdage (roughage days) for cattle farmers in Nørager and Tårs, and established a new HandelsERFA group to help farmers navigate interest rates, commodity markets and the Green Tripartite.
