History
AEON Town Tsu Shiroyama opened on May 1, 2010, as AEON Tsu Shiroyama Shopping Center, with a soft opening on April 28, 2010. At that time, it was managed and operated by AEON Town Development Chubu Co., Ltd., headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, which also handled land lease agreements. The center has engaged in environmental conservation activities, including a trial sale of Matsusaka beef on hinoki trays made from Mie Prefecture timber on December 4-5, 2010, and certification under the Mie Prefecture Wood CO2 Fixation Certification System for both the MaxValu Tsu Shiroyama store and the entire shopping center. Other initiatives include rooftop and wall-mounted solar panels, wall greening, and LED lighting.
