AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Jōzai

AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Jōzai (イオンタウン木更津請西) is a neighborhood-type shopping center (ネイバーフッド型ショッピングセンター) located in the Jōzai-minami area of Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It is operated and managed by AEON TOWN Co., Ltd., the shopping-center development and management arm of the AEON Group. The center opened on October 30, 2009 under the name "Rock Town Kisarazu" (ロックタウン木更津), positioned in the middle of a newly developed residential district and featuring a spacious site with an adjacent large park. It was renamed "AEON TOWN Kisarazu" on September 1, 2011, and then "AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Jōzai" on April 1, 2012, aligning the facility with the AEON TOWN neighborhood-center brand. The center is anchored by a MaxValu supermarket on the west side of the site and a Yamada Denki (Tecc LIFE SELECT) electronics store as a semi-anchor on the east side. Because the site sits on hilly terrain, a basement-level parking area is provided beneath the Yamada Denki building, accessible from the eastern road and the surface parking lot. Between the two anchors, a mix of food and beverage, apparel, general merchandise, and service tenants line the center. The official tenant roster includes MaxValu (supermarket), Jewel Hama (jewelry), Megane Ichiba (eyewear), The Daiso (100-yen shop), Yamada Denki Tecc LIFE SELECT Kisarazu Jōzai Main Store (electronics), ABC-MART (shoes), and a wide range of service tenants such as Sanq Cut (barber), Kawai Music School, Actos Will_G (fitness), Step Golf Plus, Wedge Home, Relaxation House Kunpu, coin rice milling, Ai Pro (mobile repair), Allure (nail and eyelash), Megumi Seitai (bodywork), White Kyubin Mitsumine (cleaning), Hoken Minaoshi Hompo (insurance), Hair Magic Moga (hair salon), Premio Dental Clinic, Chiba Bank ATM, Takarakuji Chance Center, Hawaiian Forest Spa Kisarazu, Kumon, Curves, Kaitori Center GP, Esthe Berissimo, ITTO Individual Tutoring School, and Laundry Casa. Dining and food tenants include Pizza Hut and Komeda's Coffee. The center serves the surrounding residential neighborhood and is accessible by the Ota Junkan line route bus, which stops at "AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Jōzai." It is part of AEON's broader network of shopping centers in Kisarazu, alongside AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Asahi, which is undergoing a full renewal and is closed from April 2026 except for its government-office wing (Kisarazu City Hall Asahi Branch and Kasumi Kisarazu Asahi store).

AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Jōzai opened on October 30, 2009 as "Rock Town Kisarazu" (ロックタウン木更津), a neighborhood-type shopping center developed in the middle of a newly developed residential area in the Jōzai-minami district of Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture. The site was designed with a spacious layout, and the adjacent land was developed as a large park, reflecting its role as a community-oriented retail facility for the surrounding housing development. On September 1, 2011, the shopping center's name was changed from "Rock Town Kisarazu" to "AEON TOWN Kisarazu," bringing it under the AEON TOWN naming framework used across the AEON Group's neighborhood shopping centers. On April 1, 2012, the name was changed again to "AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Jōzai," adding the local district name to distinguish it from other AEON TOWN facilities in Kisarazu City, notably AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Asahi. The center is operated and managed by AEON TOWN Co., Ltd., the AEON Group company responsible for developing and managing neighborhood-type shopping centers. Its core anchor is a MaxValu supermarket located on the west side of the site, while a Yamada Denki (Tecc LIFE SELECT) electronics store serves as the semi-anchor on the east side. Because the center is situated on hilly terrain, a basement parking area was built beneath the Yamada Denki building, accessible from the eastern road and the surface parking lot. Between the two anchors, the center houses a mix of dining, apparel, general merchandise, and service tenants. The official tenant roster illustrates the center's neighborhood-service orientation: MaxValu (supermarket), Jewel Hama (jewelry), Megane Ichiba (eyewear), The Daiso (100-yen shop), Yamada Denki Tecc LIFE SELECT Kisarazu Jōzai Main Store (electronics), ABC-MART (shoes), Sanq Cut (barber), Kawai Music School, Actos Will_G (fitness), Step Golf Plus, Wedge Home, Relaxation House Kunpu, a coin rice milling machine, Ai Pro (mobile repair and accessories), Allure (nail and eyelash), Megumi Seitai (bodywork), White Kyubin Mitsumine (cleaning), Hoken Minaoshi Hompo (insurance), Hair Magic Moga (hair salon), Premio Dental Clinic, Chiba Bank ATM, Takarakuji Chance Center, Hawaiian Forest Spa Kisarazu, Kumon, Curves, Kaitori Center GP, Esthe Berissimo, ITTO Individual Tutoring School, and Laundry Casa. Food and beverage tenants include Pizza Hut and Komeda's Coffee. The center is accessible by the Ota Junkan line route bus, which stops at "AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Jōzai." It is part of AEON's shopping center network in Kisarazu City, alongside AEON TOWN Kisarazu-Asahi, which originated as the Kisarazu Green City Shopping Center and is closed from April 2026 for a full renewal, with only its government-office wing (Kisarazu City Hall Asahi Branch and Kasumi Kisarazu Asahi store) remaining open.
